Accreditation Listing

All institutions participating in federal financial aid programs are required to notify enrolled and prospective students and employees and prospective employees about consumer information. You have the right to review the following information online, as noted in each section.

Available Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is available through several options at Tulsa Tech. The Financial Assistance Office is located at the Career Services Center at the Memorial Complex, 3420 S. Memorial Drive. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm and Thursday, 7:30am-6:00pm.

Students applying for financial assistance through grants, sponsorships, waivers, or scholarships should begin the enrollment process well in advance of the start of classes. These types of financial aid can take six (6) weeks or longer to process. For the most up-to-date and complete information on scholarships and grants

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Tulsa Tech complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). An annual notification of rights under the act is provided to all parents and eligible students via Student Agreement and Information Form (SAIF). Questions regarding FERPA can be directed to a Campus Compliance Coordinator.

Students with Disabilities
If the applicant is on an Individual Education Plan (IEP) the admission is contingent on the IEP team’s determination of appropriate placement and the receipt of the IEP prior to the first date of class. Please contact our Office of Disability Services at 918.828.5297 for additional information.

Student Body Diversity
Information on student body diversity is located on the National Center for Education Statistic’s College
Navigator website. The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education in the U.S. and other nations. NCES is located within the U.S. Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences.

 Cost of Attendance Information
Tuition and fees may be paid by cash, check, VISA, or MasterCard. Tuition does not apply to the cost of tools, books, uniforms, insurance, instructional materials, or other associated costs. Textbooks and other supplies used for personal projects are not included in the tuition and fees. Contact Admission office for tuition and cost of attendance information or refer to Appendix C.

Net Price Calculator
The Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 requires that colleges disclose a Net Price Calculator "to help current and prospective students, families, and other consumers estimate the individual net price of an institution of higher education for a student". The calculator currently is in development. Please check back in 2011 for more information.

Refund Policies

There is no textbook charge for high school students within the Tulsa Tech District. Contact the appropriate campus bookstore at the following numbers.

Academic Program and Instructional Facilities Information and General Contact Information

Tulsa Tech strives to improve programs through increased student achievement.  The Southern Regional Education Board’s” (SREB) “Technology Centers That Work” (TCTW) initiative involves increasing academic awareness, raising the rigor and providing relevance in each of our programs.  TCTW places an emphasis on Numeracy, Literacy and Guidance.  Academic Center instructors work to increase reading and writing skills as well as bring math concepts to the forefront of the existing program curriculum.  The Guidance leg of the initiative ensures that every student will have a Plan of Study that acts as a building block for the students’ years beyond Tulsa Tech.

Transfer of credit
Tulsa Tech students who meet the eligibility requirements can earn college credit toward an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or college-level certificate. Students pay an academic service fee of only $8 per credit hour! Tulsa Community College & Tulsa Tech are working together as active cooperative alliance partners in providing educational opportunities for currently enrolled & potential students. College credit is available through TCC, RSU, or OSUIT. For more details call the college relations office at 918.828.5205.
All college credit is awarded by the college & granted during the semester the course is successfully completed.

Accreditation Approval
Tulsa Tech is accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Education, the Oklahoma Board of Career & Technology, & the North Central Association--Commission on Accreditation & School Improvement.

Peer to Peer File Sharing

Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention
The goal of Tulsa Technology Center and the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program is to inform and prevent the unlawful possession, use or distribution of illegal drugs and alcohol by students and staff.  The U.S. Department of Education requires institutions offering Federal Financial Aid to implement a drug prevention and awareness program for their students and employees in accordance with the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.  To access this information go to the following document: Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program.

Students may also obtain a hard copy of the Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program upon request from the campus administration offices. 

Vaccinations Policy
Students applying in the Health Science cluster programs must provide verification of immunizations through vaccination records, titer (blood test) results, or declination statements. A list of specific immunizations may be obtained through the Health Sciences Center by calling 918.828-1216.

Security Reporting and Campus Safety Policy
The Accident Reporting Procedures form can be obtained at the Tulsa Tech Environmental, Health and Safety Office (EHSO) located at District Services Center, 5647 S 122nd East Ave., Tulsa, OK  74146 or call 918.828.6180 or 918.828.5130.

Campus deputies are provided on all Tulsa Tech campuses to:

  • Provide traffic control
  • Issue motor vehicle citations
  • Monitor student and vistor activity
  • Assist with all emergencies
  • Provide first responder medical care

Campus deputies report all emergencies, injuries and crimes to the campus director or facility administrator and the Tulsa Tech Environmental, Health and Safety Office (EHSO). Campus deputies maintain written reports on all emergencies, crimes and relevant Tulsa Tech Policy violations.

Fire Safety
All Tulsa Tech staff and students shall participate in routine fire drills throughout the school year.
Fire Drill Requirements can be obtained from the Oklahoma Law Book.

Voter Registration
Tulsa Tech provides information on voter registration to the current students at each campus. Additional information also can be found at Voter Registration in Oklahoma website.

Constitution Day
Constitution Day is on September 17th. Each year, on that day, the Tulsa Tech instructors present a lesson regarding the Constitution for all students.
